Kimberley Resonates with Symonds Knock

After averting the threat of slipping into the danger zone by way of their win against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, Deccan Chargers are in an upbeat mood.

Their joy has doubled with the returning of Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds from national duty to keep their winning momentum going.

In his first match of IPL-2 at Kimberley against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday, he proved his mettle with an unbeaten knock of 60 that included four huge 6s and two 4s, but couldn’t see his team catapult to the second place in points table. Punjab won the match with 3 wickets, and moved to fifth place sharing points with Deccan, who are one place above.
